LLN (9/24/20) – Next week, changes to the hours of service regulations will go into effect. We’ll offer some details, plus an update on another possible stimulus bill. Also, the FMCSA is giving truckers more time to renew CDLs and medical certifications. A carrier tries again for a driver training exemption, and the Department of Labor attempts to clarify who is an independent contractor. And Pennsylvania may relax the penalties for driving a personal vehicle without insurance and may adopt a federal weight exemption for large, electric, battery-powered vehicles.
